Woman getting a massage

Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of the soft tissue structures of the body (muscle, connective tissue, ligaments and tendons). The goal of massage therapy is to alleviate muscle tension and pain, increase blood flow and range of motion, and promote relaxation. Massage therapists undergo a two year program at an accredited school. They are trained to understand the cause of the ailment, and then tailor the treatment based on the needs of their clients.
