New Patients

Dr. Roop Sandhu is a chiropractor and the owner of LiveWell Chiropractic and Wellness Centre. She was born and raised in the wonderful city of Winnipeg, Manitoba. After high school she attended the University of Winnipeg, where she obtained her Honours Degree in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry. In 2006 she moved to the United States to attend New York Chiropractic College. She thoroughly enjoyed her time there and graduated at the top of her class as part of the Phi Chi Omega Honour Society. She was elected Alumni Class President, was awarded the Distinguished Service Award and gave the valedictory address at graduation.

Dr. Roop (as her patients refer to her as), returned to her hometown of Winnipeg after graduating in 2010. She started her career as an associate for a few years and then transitioned to a role of clinic owner. For five years she ran a clinic in St.Vital. After having her two small children, Dr. Roop decided to step back and take a career pause to raise her family. She is now back and has recently opened up a brand new office in the beautiful neighbourhood of River Heights.

A firm believer in patient centered care, Dr. Roop takes great pride in providing evidence based treatment options for musculoskeletal conditions. In addition to manipulation/mobilization, she is trained and certified in Active Release Technique (A.R.T), the gold standard for soft tissue injury management. She also loves to educate her patients on the importance of spinal health, through postural and ergonomic advice, and recommending functional exercises tailored to the needs of her patients.

Dr. Roop and her husband are raising two wonderful little children. They enjoy travelling and spending quality time with their extended family and friends. Dr. Roop enjoys partnering with other female business owners and mentorship groups, public speaking and educational outreach efforts (related to health topics). In her downtime she is an avid reader and enjoys playing sports.

Chantal has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2007. After nine years of practicing, she took 3 years off to have and be with her daughters.

As soon as Chantal stepped back into her role as an RMT, she noticed a large demand that was not being filled: Lactation Massage. She claims that deciding to provide prenatal and postpartum families of Winnipeg with an evidence-based, hands on support was and still is-incredibly rewarding.

Chantal’s innovative efforts were greatly recognized and appreciated and she was presented with the 2020 MTAM Merit Award.

Today she is passionate about supporting anyone and everyone looking to learn more about their bodies and instill different habits to achieve optimal health.
